Pia Maria has beyond her given name Pia Maria, chosen her paternal grandmother´s maiden name Savela, to hold the vibration of what she is embodying.
Her name means Holy Mother of Mud ( the divine mother energy deeply rooted in embodiment, in the earth).

Pia Maria Savela

From a young age she had a deep longing for the Divine and a love of God. She looked to Jesus as someone she aspired to become like, rather than looking up to in a religious way.
Growing into adulthood brought both the freedom to really explore this longing, as well as needing to meet all the broken expressions of the inner wounds.
After many, many years of experiencing painful separation from Source/Divinity, causing homelessness, trauma and abuse, Pia Maria had an incredible awakening that changed her life forever...during one INSTANT of divine re-birth ONE QUESTION changed her life.
Pia Maria is the founder and CEO of Kriya Babaji Darshan™ .
She has also created BodyRiver Yoga, where she was the CEO until September 2015. Within the BodyRiver Yoga school she also developed a Yogini Training, to guide women into a feminine way of teaching yoga.
BodyRiver Yoga was the stepping stone to Kriya Babaji Darshan. These Dharma Teachings will continue, in an expanded frame work, the work that she offered thru BodyRiver Yoga for more than 20 years. The BodyRiver Yoga teachings have now been handed over to the teachers of this yoga style, that will continue to allow it to move them.

As Pia Maria became aware that the voice guiding her through all her years of teaching was none other than her beloved guruji Babaji, she realized it was time to dedicate her teachings to Him as the source and grace of her teachings. Thus Kriya Babaji Darshan was born.

As Pia Maria has lived and studied yoga in India, she has always connected to the deeper aspects of the yogic teachings.
The teachings unfold in the Mystery of each moment, as she is being guided by Babaji.
Today Pia Maria is a Dharma Teacher.
Pia Maria's passion is to support her students in their awakening to their inherent Divinity. Her unique gifts are her awakened transmission, her capacity to hold space for transformation, as well as feeling and responding to the calls of each student's Divine Being as well as their bodies´ true needs. The transmission of her awakened heart will enable the students in their own divine timing to heal their spirit matter split, and land in their Divine Incarnation, and thus offer their true dharmic expression. .
Pia Maria is known by her students to assist in releasing deep patterns in the body during her dharma teachings. She creates a sacred space where it is safe for them to meet their resistance and fear of the unknown.
She knows from her own experience that in order to change our lives and align them with our original intent, we need to face our own shadow/unknown, release what doesn´t belong to us, and heal what has been wounded. And ultimately, in the Divine Union of spirit and matter - allowing the recognition of our Unlimited Consciousness; the undying, transcendent Reality beyond form, not be confused by the reality of this flesh, this matter that we have incarnated into and as; which is limited, and imperfect - yet perfect for our Dharmic expression.
She has deeply touched the lives of hundreds of people in Scandinavia, India, and USA, and helped them to embrace the divinity of their human life.
She teaches introduction days and deepening weekends/retreats. She also works with one-on-one sessions,with the ones needing more personal guidance and support.
Mother of three, Pia Maria is dedicated to creating a planet that honours all of Creation as Sacred.

Awakenings
When Pia Maria was 21 (in 1990), she lived in Chennai, India. She was living with an old yogi, whose presence was humble and loving. In his presence her kundalini awakened, and stabilized.
​
After many years of oscillating between feeling separate from and feeling one with Source/Being/God, there came a breakthrough moment in the presence of Arjuna Ardagh in 2001, when he asked Pia Maria the question “Is there anything missing in this moment?”
In that moment she realized, that the sense of separation tearing at her core, was gone forever. She was left with a sense of deep peace at her core, a silence that had not been there before. The seeker was gone, never to return.
It was not simply a "remembering", as she could feel a deeper shift occurring at a cellular level, literally beginning to change her DNA.
This event began a deeper process of That Consciousness dropping into her body. The crisis came to a peak when it was simply considered a false identification with her body by the group that she was involved with at the time.
This crisis lead her to the Waking Down in Mutuality™ (founded by Saniel Bonder), and with the help of him and his teachers she was able to come to a recognition of having had her 2nd birth; Embodied Awakening, in 2002. Her spirit matter split had healed at its core.

The years following the shifts have been of deep healing of what she has experienced over lifetimes, in a way that was not possible before Being Fully Here.

In 2016, on the International Women´s Day, on March 8th, Pia Maria´s guru finally revealed Himself. This was after many months of an intense inner death process; a process where she was faced with having to choose God completely. No more one foot in the world and one foot with God. Once the choice was established in her, Guruji Babaji revealed Himself to her.
It was a moment of the deepest recognition, of such indescribable joy and ecstasy, as He descended completely into her body.
In October of 2016 He came to her again and drew her close to Him, holding her at His chest, while He transferred His shaktipat to her. Her life has completely changed since that touch, and continues to rapidly change into her deepest wholeness and recognition of her divinity on all levels.
Pia Maria´s Education
Pia Maria became a certified yoga teacher in Kerala, South India, and studied yoga philosophy in Rishikesh, North India in 1991.
She has also studied different healing modalities; Reiki ( 6th degree Master), Crown healing, Chinese Energetic Healing, Shindo Healing as well as Deeksha.
She has also had the blessing to meet and learn from the maori healers.
Pia Maria did the Living Essence Training in 2001 ( now called Awakening Coaching) with Arjuna Ardagh. She has also worked deeply with the Waking Down in Mutuality school for several years. She is however not a Waking Doen mentor or teacher, neither is she part of the Awakening Coaches team.
What Pia Maria is teaching is a distillation from different teachings; standing on the legs of her own awakened wisdom. She has benefited greatly from all of her teachers along the way, and stands eternally in the deepest gratitude to each one of them.
She has studied with Joseph and Elisabeth Serra ( Culture of Honouring), Kathleen and Gay Hendricks as well as The Partneship Foundation´s "Trusting You are Loved" to learn about relationships.
In 2013 she was chosen to participate in Saniel Bonder´s 'White-Hot Evocation of Your Next Evolution' - an incredible opportunity to deepen her understanding about living in the Awakened Embodied State.

In July of 2016 she received her first level Kriya Yoga Initiation through the Paramahansa Prajnananda Mission.
